Question 1

How do I use the YouTube Thumbnail Builder?

Accepted Answer

Fill in the 4 variables on the left — subject, style, model-specific context. The prompt updates in real time on the right. When you're happy, either copy it or hit "Optimize with AI" to have Llama 3.3 70B rewrite it in ideogram-native syntax. Then click "Open in ideogram" to launch the model.

Question 2

Which AI model is best for this template?

Accepted Answer

We default to ideogram because it produces the best output for image tasks of this shape, but you can switch to any supported model via the Target Model picker. For images: Midjourney for cinematic polish, FLUX for photorealism, Ideogram for text overlays, Gemini Imagen for free generation. For text: Claude for voice, ChatGPT for structure, Gemini for long context.

Question 3

Can I save or share my filled-in prompt?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every change updates the URL in real time via `?v=` encoded params. Hit "Share URL" and send the link; the recipient lands on this template with your variables pre-filled. Bookmark the URL to come back later. No account required.

Question 4

What does "Optimize with AI" actually change?

Accepted Answer

It sends your filled prompt to Llama 3.3 70B (Cloudflare Workers AI, free), which rewrites it in model-specific syntax, adds structure cues (subject/style/camera/lighting/composition/mood/quality), and returns a 3-6 bullet explanation of what changed and why. You can toggle between the original and optimized version, or discard the result.

Question 5

Is this free? Any rate limits?

Accepted Answer

The template, variables, copy, share URL, and open-in-model actions are 100% free and client-side. The AI optimizer has a soft limit of 20 calls per hour per IP (plenty for normal use). We never store your prompts or personal data.
